Refund Policy

Registration for Creating Change 2023 is non-refundable and non-transferable. If you need to cancel your registration or that of someone else at any time, any registration fees will be considered a donation to the ongoing work of Creating Change and the National LGBTQ Task Force.

Is there a dress code for Creating Change?

There is no formal dress code for Creating Change. Please be mindful of the local weather as you pack your bags.

The conference does not tolerate hate speech. If any participant’s attire violates this policy, they will be barred from current and future participation in Creating Change.

Will hybrid/virtual programming be available at Creating Change in San Francisco?

While there will not be simultaneous hybrid/virtual programming during Creating Change in San Francisco, the Task Force has begun to launch a new program: Creating Change 365. CC 365 aims to be a series of year-round online engagements that enhance and grow the annual Creating Change experience for a virtual audience. As this program is built into the future, the Task Force will have additional capacity for individual workshop-style virtual presentations, such as those that might be hosted at an in-person conference. Is there a discounted conference rate available at the hotels?

The discounted rates for our conference hotels are no longer available, but you can still book rooms at the standard rate at the Hilton Union Square and the Hilton Parc 55.

Can I register at the hotel in San Francisco?

Yes! Onsite registration is available at the Hilton Union Square. The onsite registration rate is $700 per person.

Will childcare be provided?

No. This year, due to public health policies, Creating Change will not provide on-site childcare. We look forward to the return of childcare services at Creating Change 2024.

Are meals included with my conference registration?

No, meals are not included with registration.

How can I register a group for Creating Change 2023? Is there a group discount?

Group registration is easy! Simply register yourself, and then on the checkout page you will have the option to add as many tickets as you need. Make sure you include names and email addresses for your added ticketholders—that way, each person will receive their own, individual tickets!

If you are registering a group but NOT attending yourself, please contact Creating Change for instructions.

There is currently no discount for group registration.

I am interested in having an exhibit table at Creating Change. How can I sign up?

We appreciate your interest in being an exhibitor at Creating Change. While we are at capacity for this year's conference, please consider joining us as an exhibitor next year in New Orleans!

Once I am a confirmed exhibitor, does my general exhibit table include registration for the conference?

No. If you are an exhibitor at Creating Change and would also like to participate in the conference, you must register separately.

If I am presenting an institute, caucus, and/or workshop at Creating Change, what can I expect to be provided in my meeting room?

Each meeting room at the Hilton Union Square will be equipped with an easel pad, markers, and an LCD projector and screen. If you will be using a Mac laptop, please bring the connecting cable to connect to the LCD projector. If you are using hard copy handouts, please prepare at least 50 copies (each) of your materials. Creating Change cannot make copies of any session materials.

Laptop computers are NOT provided.
